The need to explore nature and the world around me and come to understand them better is the driving force of my being. I see art as a quest for truth. Truthfulness is both the motive and the aspiration of my work. I cherish it as the attitude that can best enable me to explore and illuminate my own nature, express my deepest feelings and intuitions, and record my efforts to reach perfection and love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kind of discoveries art enables us to make, and the kind of fulfillment it offers, are unique and irreplaceable. I would like my life and my work not to betray this belief, but to come as close as possible to embodying it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
